A reminder regarding the upcoming A Step Beyond dance auditions.
On Thursday this week, we have two opportunities for families to learn more about A Step Beyond.
1. ASB Meet and Greet - Thursday, October 13th from 4pm-6pm at 340 N. Escondido Blvd. Escondido, CA 92025. Prospective families can come and observe dance classes as well as ask questions.

Don't forget! Student Led Conferences are next week on October 6th (7:30 am to 3:00 pm & 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm) & 7th (7:30 am to 11:30 am). Please check with your student's teacher for your appointment date/time. Remember: there will be NO SCHOOL during conferences. Even though there will be no classes during these two days, Conway students are leaders of their own learning and must attend the appointment with you! See you all here!

school enrichment clubs this fall for 2nd & 3rd graders or 4th & 5th
graders who are interested in learning about art or STEM.
Option 1: Cre8 Art School will facilitate a class/club where 2nd & 3rd grade
students will create with several different art mediums such as pastels, clay,
watercolor and more! Mondays & Wednesdays @2:40-3:40
Option 2: Mad Science will facilitate a class/club where 4th & 5th grade
students learn STEM engineering through team-based activities and LEGOs.

This 15 minutes long celebration recognizes EPIC scholars, active citizens, and many other awards.
Starting this week, Thursday will be our new Conway CREW blue day or west your classs college shirt.
Attention Conway families! Does your student speak more than one language? Is your family multilingual? If so, join us this Friday, September 30 at 8:15 am in room 5. Our Impact Teacher Mrs. Sima will be sharing information in regards to the support programs available to students identified as English Language Learners. See you there!

The Escondido Union School District is pleased to continue to offer the Gifted and Talented Education program. For GATE identification this year, all 2nd grade students will participate in universal screening in November. Parents who would like to recommend students in grades 3-8 who have not previously been screened can pick up the Parent Background and Input Form in the front office of their child’s school starting on September 26, and should return it to the school by Friday, October 14. A school team will review requests and determine which students will be eligible to be screened in November. For more information, please visit our district website or stop by your school office.

El Distrito Escolar de la Unión de Escondido se complace en continuar ofreciendo el Programa de Enseñanza para Estudiantes Dotados y Talentosos - Gifted and Talented Education (GATE, por sus siglas en inglés). Para la identificación de GATE este año, todos los alumnos del segundo grado participarán en la evaluación universal en noviembre. Los padres que deseen recomendar estudiantes en los grados 3-8 que no hayan sido evaluados anteriormente pueden recoger el formulario de Antecedentes y Aportes de los Padres en la oficina de la escuela de su hijos a partir del 26 de septiembre y deben devolverlo a la escuela el viernes 14 de octubre. Un equipo escolar revisará las solicitudes y determinará qué estudiantes serán elegibles para ser evaluados en noviembre. Learn to play violin!
Please join us for an informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27, 2022 at
Rincon Middle School to learn about the new Allegro Strings Program,
an exciting partnership with Civic Youth Orchestra.
Allegro, a free after-school program that teaches students how to play violin,
begins this fall and is open to all Escondido Union School District students in
grades 3 and 4. Classes will be available at two locations: L. R. Green and Oak
Hill elementary schools.
Students participating in this program will be provided an instrument on loan.
