Family Engagement

Week 7 - September 18th, 2022

Greetings Conway Families,

As an Expeditionary Learning School, we believe families are key partners in the education of our students. We welcome and value your contributions and backgrounds, and encourage families to engage in the life of the school.

This week we hosted our first in person Coffee and Crew with the Principal of the year.. This monthly event is an opportunity to chat with families, hear what is working, and discuss areas for growth. It was a lovely morning and I appreciated learning about them, hearing ideas, and sharing common goals. I encourage you to join us next month on October 20th at 8:30am for our next one.

Get Ready, Set, GO! Our EPIC run is almost here and students are excited to achieve the goals they have set. If your student hasn’t registered, there is still time. Parents must have prior volunteer clearance to be on campus volunteering and interacting with students. All volunteers will check in at the office and then with the classroom teacher. Contact our Family Liaison, Xochtil Maldonado xmaldonado@eusd.org. Any questions regarding the run or funds, should be directed to the ASB advisor, Andrea Sima: asima@eusd.org. Let's make this an EPIC event!

Cultivating a Culture of Engagement

Friday Spirit Days!

Our tradition of Friday spirit days promotes belonging, joyful competition, and a supportive and inclusive environment. This week, students and teachers rocked the socks in honor of Constitution Day.

Thursday EPIC CREW Celebration

Thursday morning the crew spirit rocks our campus. Students are recognized weekly for EPIC scholarly, Active Citizenship, or other achievements. This week, our first EPIC scholars were recognized. We know, EPIC is the only way to be!

Sadly our wonderful Mrs. Stencel will be leaving at the end of the month. She will be moving closer to family in Arizona and fully understand that family is always first.
