Principal update #14

As an Expeditionary Learning School, our model combines academic achievement, character, and high-quality work. Our learners demonstrate proficiency and deeper understanding of knowledge and skills within each discipline. They learn to communicate clearly and present their ideas effectively. This practice is deeply connected to our EUSD Framework for the Future and our Expeditionary Learning model.

An example of this learning is through our Student Led Conferences. This week a group of 27 visitors within EUSD visited our site to see examples of the Expeditionary Learning Model and the alignment to the EUSD Framework within our school. The visit included a school tour, classroom visits, and students leading their Student Led conference to our visitors. To say the least, they were impressed.

Site Visit

Thursday was the end of Trimester 1. Report cards will be mailed home next Friday, November 17th. Next Friday is also a minimum day with a 12:10pm dismissal and is the start of our fall break.

I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and takes time to honor our veterans. Thank you to all our veterans for your courage, strength and dedication to keeping us safe.

I am grateful for the opportunity to inspire students to discover their unlimited potential through Excellence, Perseverance, Integrity, and Compassion. Together we are creating an EPIC school.

We are in this together and believe, We Are Crew, not passengers.

Always in crew,

Tina Meglich, Principal
