Conway Community News - Week 14

Engaging  Families and Partners in Education

Week 31 - March 26th, 2023

Greetings Conway Community,

As an EL Education school, we believe families are key partners in the education of their children.  We welcome families, valute their contributions and backgrounds, and engage them actively in the life of the school.

Leaders and teachers explicitly recognize that families care about their children’s education, bring strengths and add value to the community.  We communicate regularly and respectfully and provide multiple ways to contribute to the academic and social life of the school.

On Monday, EUSD recognized all the families that completed the Latino Literacy program led by our incredible family liaisons. Council member, Consuelo Martinez, spoke to the group about the importance of family involvement in students’ educations.

Our goal is to build and sustanin partnerships with community organizations and cultural institutions.  For our students, this is an imperative component of their learning too because they are accustomed to interacting awith visiting community members.

Another incentive that is coming to Conway is the return of the BMX assembly.  This is scheduled for March 29th at 9am.  Teachers will recommend students that have been aligning their behavior to our EPIC norms consistently and will be invited to the EPIC event.  We look forward to having 100% of our students attending.

I am  grateful for the opportunity to inspire students to discover their unlimited potential through Excellence, Perseverance, Integrity, and Compassion.  Together we are creating an EPIC school.  Here is another example of our EPIC Crews.

We are in this together and believe, We Are Crew, not passengers.

In Crew,

Principal Meglich
